Rufus Wainwright, again. Same B&W style; crosshatching; drawn with a mouse. Yup... took about an hour, I think? He's my favorite singer! I get to go to his concert in Vancouver in twwwoooo weeeeks!
I have no clue who this artist was, but I was intrigued at how this was created as I was browsing in the thumbnails.. this one caught my eye, although the way I have my # of thumbnails set up, I was disheartened to see some naked anime thumnail just underneath it.. but anyways, I wanted to applaud you on this, since i have no clue how you did this "crosshatching". i have no clue what that means, nor did I know we are having this artist come to vancouver in two weeks..
oh well, keep up the awesome job, black and white sketches are very cool, you should try doing this 'crosshatching' style of drawing of yours with an ink pen, like that of caligraphy ink pens, where you dip it in the ink bottle, or try an actual ink pen where you load the ink into the back and okay forget what im trying to describe, im going into way too much detail here, plus my run on sentences are killing me.. so yeah.. great job...and i love the avatar

That brought the biggest smile to my face because I was just eyeing your journal and saw that you'd worked at making the same picture. You did a magnificent job too.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This contest ends on Friday the 18th December 2009. If you want to enter, get your entries in quick! Here are all the entries so far. Also if you want to donate a prize, that would be fantastic too, just note me

Bad art is more tragically beautiful than good art 'cause it documents human failure.
